Vineyards
With a resounding name and a special reputation: The Theresienhöhe vineyard in Kitzeck-Sausal, exposed on the western foothills of the Sausal Mountains. The well-known "Theresienkapelle" (Theresia Chapel), visible from afar, is enthroned at the top of the ridge. Our vineyard faces south and lies at an altitude of up to 500m above sea level.
Vinification
Most of the fermentation and ageing takes place in large neutral oak barrels, with partial maturation in steel tanks. Storage on the full lees until spring (approx. 6 months). The wine is then left on the fine lees for a further five to ten months until bottling.
