Wines from Ehrenhausen, on the other hand, are characterised by a warmer microclimate and heavier soils, resulting in more light fruitiness and exoticism.

Vineyards

Sauvignon Blanc Kitzeck-Sausal: This wine comes from our favourite vineyards within the traditional wine-growing village of Kitzeck im Sausal. With its high altitude and unique slate soils, the village of "Kitzeck-Sausal" offers excellent conditions for growing wine. There is evidence that Kitzeck-Sausal was already an important wine-growing centre of the monarchy in 1763.

Sauvignon Blanc Ehrenhausen: This wine comes from our vineyards in Ehrenhausen an der Weinstraße directly on the Styrian-Slovenian border. The chalky soils, in combination with the preferred, somewhat warmer microclimate, produce fine wines with depth.

Vinification

Spontaneously fermented and gently matured in large oak barrels or in small parts in steel tanks. Long maturation on the lees for at least 10 months.
